Joseph Fred Phillips

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the celestial transition of  Mr. Joseph Fred "Po Joe" Phillips of Ashville, AL who went from labor to reward Sunday evening April 24, 2022, at the age of 71.  We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Joseph Fred "Po Joe" Phillips was born on August 8, 1950, in St. Clair County, Alabama to Rosetta Mostella and Fred Jones.

He was preceded by death by his parents, Rosetta Mostella and Fred Jones; sister-in-law, Janice Mostella.

Joseph was known for his selfless heart and various acts of kindness.  Joseph attended Deliverance Church of Philadelphia, Ashville, Alabama.

Joseph transitioned on Sunday evening, April 24, 2022, at St. Vincent's East in Birmingham, Alabama.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his only son, Joseph Justin Henry, two brothers, Curtis (Dorothy) Phillips; Earnest Mostella; four sisters, Dorothy (Fred) Jones, Barbara Jones, Jessie (Leon) Smith, Sally Dobbins; a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
