Josephine (Woods) Woodie

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Josephine Woodie of Springville, AL, who passed on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the age of 85.  We ask that you keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  

Ms. Josephine Woods Woodie was born December 20, 1936, to the late Mr.Samuel Hubert Woods Sr. and Ruth Williams.

She confessed Christ at an early age at Overcoming Church of Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Sherman Thomas.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Pullian Woodie and to this union one son was born.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Mammie Woods, Lorene Woods, H.W. Woods, Sam Woods, Jr., Willie Woods, Myrtle Lee Turner, and Emma Jean Smith, and Anthony Richardson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory son, Joseph Woodie; extended children, Calvin Davis, Cynthia (Tommy) Toles, Minnie Moore, Jacqueline (Lesley) Jackson, Eunice Thomas, Dave Richardson; sisters, Betty Pratt, Alice Whisenant, Mae Ruth Gillispie; brother, Billie Jim Woods; sister-in-law Louise Woody Rhone; brother-in-law, Willie B. Turner; special grandson, Armand Moss, Jayveon Moss, and Armoni Moss, special niece, Regina Woody Cook; special Friend, June Bowen. and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
