With heartfelt sympathy. we announce the earthly transition of Juanita Wilson of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the age of 91.
Juanita Wilson was born on April 15, 1935 to Rev. King David Wilson, Sr., and Bethel Wilson. Juanita was the 8th child born to this union.
Juanita was educated in the Gadsden City School System. She worked various jobs throughout her career with her last being with Spring Valley (Tyson Foods). Juanita retired from Spring Valley (Tyson) in 1992. After retiring from Spring Valley Chicken Plant. She helped her oldest sister in a sandwich shop Carlyle’s Fish.
Everyone that knew Juanita, knew she loved her family and was an avid Bible reader. She served in many offices at Goodsell U.M.C. in East Gadsden but now is Antioch/Goodsell in Attalla, Alabama. She loved the Lord Thy god with her Mind, Body and Soul. When she was able she would read and research the Word of God, depending on your relationship with her, she would ask you questions about the Bible and even give you homework so that when she saw you again you could answer her question.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. King David Wilson, Sr., and Bethel Walker Wilson; and several siblings.
Juanita passed on May 22, 2026 peacefully in her sleep.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories the love of her life, her heartbeat, her son, Gregory L. Wilson; her dog, anytime she would be on the phone, he would bark, it could be church service or just phone calls he would let you know he is here; brothers, Melvin (Davine) Wilson, Louisville, KY, and Albert C. Wilson, Decatur, GA; sister, Mrs. Dorothy Wynn, Gadsden, AL; special nieces, Brunetta, Carmelita, Dalphanie, Kentucky; special friends, Sister Ollie Goodson, and Sister Brenda Hutchinson.
