Kimberly Ford Obituary

With Heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Kimberly Ford of Collinsville, who traded time for eternity on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the age of 53.  We ask that you keep her family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Ms. Kimberly Ford was born December 11, 1968, in Fort Payne, AL, to Owen & Frankie Ford.

She gave her life to the Lord at an early age at Collins Chapel UMC.  She lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on September 6, 2022.

Kim graduated from Collinsville High School in 1988.  After graduating from high school she attended Gadsden State Community College where she took up a trade in Cosmetology.  She later joined the Community Action Agency Headstart Program where she worked for several years.  Shortly after she began working at Ol Tymers BBQ for a childhood friend Richard (J-Bird) Green.   After many years, she started working with the DeKalb County Board of Education for Collinsville Elementary School as a Para-Professional until her health began to decline.

Kim was a very loving and kindhearted person. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, motorcycles, spending time with family, and baking, and she was also a huge Alabama Football fan!  Kim never met a stranger, and she would do anything she could for anyone.  She loved the time that she spent with her grandchildren as well as the time she spent with her students at Collinsville Elementary.

Kim also known as Rah-Rah, Tee-Tee, and Mama Kim to many was loved by everyone.  A loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, bonus mom, and wonderful friend.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. Ivan Lynch, Nedra Lynch, Rev. Owen Ford, Sr. & Minnie Pearl Ford.

Those left to cherish her precious memory include her three beautiful daughters, Ashleigh Ford, Kristen Ford & Kiana (Chase) Holland; loving parents Owen and Frankie Ford; her siblings, Nedra Ford, Roderick (Priscilla) Ford & Angelea Ford; her grandchildren, Kamden Ford, Jacedyn Ford, Kennadi Conley, Kaisdyn Ford, Gracelynn Holland & Kenya Chambers; two devoted and loving aunts, Alma Johnson and Shirley Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, bonus kids, and special friends.
