With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of L. Troy Griffin of Ashland, who traded time for eternity on Wednesday, January 14, 2025 at the age of 95.
Graveside services for Mr. Troy Griffin, age 95, will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Memory Gardens in Ashland at 3:00 p.m.
Mr. Griffin was a lifelong resident of Clay County. He received his B.S. from Jacksonville State and his master's from the University of Montevallo. He taught 11 years at Winterboro High School, 3 years at Talladega High School and was principal at Talladega Middle School for 16 years. He was a member of Retired Teachers Association and the AEA. He enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and growing vegetables in his garden. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Homer Griffin and Eva Smith Griffin; sisters, Lucille Brooks and Bobbie Mattox; brothers, O. B. Griffin, Frank Griffin, and Lloyd Griffin.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
