Life Journey
Laritha Lachint Graves, endearingly known as “Pinkey”, was born on August 9, 1975, in Gadsden, AL. At a very young age, throughout her elementary school years, Pinkey began planting her footprints in Nuremberg, Germany. She later returned to Attalla, AL, where she was educated through the Attalla and Gadsden school system – becoming a graduate of Emma Sansom High School, c/o 1994. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in 1999. After becoming a travel nurse, footprints were also tracked throughout California and London, England. Pinkey was employed at Emory Decatur Hospital in Atlanta, GA for 23 years. A free spirit, flower child, and hippie at heart – with a love for art and electric fashion, Pinkey became a self-taught seamstress, later taking classes to perfect her craft. A lover of nature and a strong believer in holistic healing, Pinkey often stated, “Things were placed on this earth that’s needed to treat, heal and cure the human body naturally;” living out her beliefs throughout her pathway of destiny… her life’s journey.
Pinkey was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willian Herbert Graves Sr., Edna Jean Rogers-Graves, and Joseph Rice Sr.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Freedom Madison; mother, Patricia (the late Charles) Rice Milhouse, Center Point, AL; father, Lamar (Talyena) Graves Sr., Attalla, AL; brother, Lamar Graves, Jr., Elmore, AL; sisters, Sharda Graves, Marietta, GA, Soraya Graves, Atlanta, GA; grandmother, Rosie L.
