Latoya Nashae (Kidd) Major

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Latoya Nashae (Kidd) Major of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the age of 48.

Latoya Nashae Kidd Major was born to Willie Pearl Kidd and Willie Britt on June 2, 1975, in Talladega, Alabama.  

She confessed Christ at an early age when she united with the Lilly Hill Baptist Church in Talladega, Alabama.  She attended  Talladega City School.  She later moved to Gadsden, AL, where she joined the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church.  Latoya graduated from Gadsden High School. 

Latoya departed this life on June 27, 2023, at Noland Hospital in Anniston, Alabama. 
Latoya is preceded in death by her father, Willie Britt; special great-grandmother, Willie ( Muh) Dobbins, who raised her, grandmother, Joyce Kidd; grandfathers, Jessie Douglas, Major Britt Sr.; grandmother, Mary Warren Britt; brother, Marcus Kidd; sister, LaKeyia Britt Caver. 
Latoya leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Emanuel Major; three kids, Tyrell (Melinda) Lumpkin, Faith Lumpkin, and Brandon (Yasmine ) Kidd; her mother, Willie (C Rita) Kidd; one granddaughter,  Leilani; five brothers, Ronald (Rondreaca) Kidd,  Darnell Kidd, Cordai Kidd, Willie (Portia) Britt Jr., Wendell Britt; sisters-in-law, Katoria Major,  Leshebra (Vincent) Campbell,  Heather (BoBo) Hughley, and many aunts and uncles, including a special aunt, Marilyn (Josephus) Garrett;  special friend, Vevelyn King and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
