With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Lemuel Sanders of Weaver, AL, who passed on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the age of 70. We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
Lemuel, affectionately known as "Crow," was born May 11, 1954 to the late James and Everlee Narron Sanders in Selma, NC.
At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Lemuel was a 1974 graduate from Smithfield-Selma Senior High School in Smithfield, NC. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United Stares Army and retired honorably after 20 years. His duty station was the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. Other station duties were at Fort Knox, KY, Fort Hood, TX, two tours in Korea, one tour in Germany. The last 7 years of his tour of duty were at Fort McClellan, AL as a Basic Training Instructor.
Lemuel met and married the love of his life, Lori Ann Price, and together they shared two children. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed football games, especially when Auburn University played (War Eagle)! Lemuel also loved reading and cleaning his cars.
Lemuel was preceded in death by his parents, James and Everlee Narron Sanders.
Lemuel Cornelius Sanders entered his eternal rest peacefully Monday, February 24, 2025.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his beautiful, faithful loving wife, Lori Ann Sanders; daughter, Britany Baker; son, Marcus Ryan Sanders; granddaughters, Alexia Baker and Nyla Rose Sanders; grandson, Kendrick Cornelius Sanders; sisters, Doris Lacey of Raleigh, NC, Evelyn Imade' of Newark, NJ, Twalla Sanders of Selma, NC, Karen Benton of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Ronald Sanders (Linda) of Pine Level, NC, Arthur Sanders of Raleigh, NC; sisters in-law, Linda Sanders of Pine Level, NC, Michelle Price of Cedar Bluff, AL, Patrice Price (Tyrone) of Summerville. GA, Angie Horner (Bruce) of Austin, TX; brothers-in-law, Charles Price, Edward Price, Spencer Price, all of Cedar Bluff, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends.
