With hearfelt sympathy, we announce the transition of Linda Watts, of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the age of 63. We ask that you keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Ms. Linda Faye Watts began her life journey on July 26, 1960, to the parentage of the late K. P. Watts and the late Josephine Pope Watts in Anniston Alabama.
Linda accepted Christ at an early age and joined Washington Heights Baptist Church. She graduated from Saks High School, Class of 1978. She was a certified cosmetologist and made sure her entire family always looked their best. She worked various jobs to provide for her children. Linda was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially enjoyed her role as Granny. Linda was committed to the family, she unremittingly showed up when called.
On Saturday, February 10, 2024, she answered the Master’s call. Linda gained her wings and was summoned to heaven. Life might be full of challenges; no matter the challenges, you always stood beside us. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. K. P. Watts, and Mrs. Josephine P. Watts; daughter, Shavon P. Goss; and brothers, Alfred L. Watts and K.P. Watts, Jr.
Memories of Linda will forever be cherished by her two extraordinary children, Antinesha J. Watts, Gadsden, AL, and Antaon Watts (Jodie), Gadsden, AL; one granddaughter, Heiress Saria Nicole Watts; three loving brothers, Edward Watts, Anniston, AL, Frederick Watts, Atlanta, GA, Daryl Watts, Gadsden, AL, and a host of nieces and nephews.
