With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Louise Ellis King of Ft. Payne, AL, who passed on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the age of 79. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Mrs. Louise Ellis King was born on November 13, 1944, to the late Carl and Willie Green Ellis in Lebanon, AL.
She attended and graduated from Frederick Douglass High School. She developed a passion for cooking at a young age after helping her mother bake in her early teen years as a job. She also worked as a hosiery mill worker, hospital employee, and housekeeper throughout her lifetime.
Louise was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Douglas, where she was a member of the Senior Choir, Kitchen Committee, and Missionary Society until her health declined.
On Tuesday morning, August 6, 2024, Louise took her last breath and answered the master's call to cross over. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Willie Ellis, siblings; Edward (Bubba) Ellis, Eloise Magbie, Bobby (Sonny) Ellis, and a special friend; John L (Joe) Jones.
Louise leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Dineatha King; grandson, Kobe King; bonus grandsons, Cameron and Jordan Logan and Marcus Ledford; sister-in-laws, Mary Ellis and Deloris Cutts; host of devoted nieces and nephews; one special friend for over 50 years, Mrs. Shirley Shirey and her family; along with a host of cousins and other dear friends.
