A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us in mourning the passing of Mrs. Lucille Thomas, of Gadsden, AL who traded time for eternity on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the age of 86. We ask that you please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
Lucille Martin Thomas was born on January 23, 1940 to the late John Maull, Sr. and Henritta Maull in Marion, Alabama.
She confessed Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church in Alabama City.
She was a graduate of Carver High School class of 1958.
Lucille retired from Mid-South Electronics in 2006, where she was a Welder for many years. She also worked at General Times many years prior.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George Thomas, Jr.; parents, John and Henritta Maull; son, Andre Leonard Thomas; special granddaughter, Anasha Ne’cole Davis; brothers, Isaiah Taylor, Robert Maull, Willie James Taylor; sister, Sarah Ann Maull; brother-in-law, Raymond “Falcom “ Whorton, Sr., Jimmy “Eggie” Thomas, Toy Thompson; sister-in-laws, Rosie Thomas, Maxine Thomas, Mildred Woody.
Lucille is survived by her caring and loving children, Cedrick Lamont Thomas, Anthony Wayne Thomas, and Monica Henritta Thomas-Jones;, one brother, John Maull, Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Jean Harris; brother-in-law, John (Nikki) Thomas; sister-in-laws, Carrie Stewart, Helen Thompson, Martina Marshall, Johnnie Mae Taylor; best friend, Lucille Oliver Harris; grandsons, Deroyale Andre Jones, Jr., Jacobi Rapheal Jones, Bennard Leonardo Thomas, Jaylan Kartez Taylor; great grandsons, Dr’Marina Giavontte Jones, Jaceon Javar Thomas, Ja’Kar Lee Kartel Taylor; chosen granddaughters, Dienesha Hichkman, Ierrmeisha McBride, Jada Lindsey, Jalesa Lindsey; chosen daughter, Christy Taylor, Terral (Kenneth) Townsend; chosen sons, Eddie (Punchie) Calloway, Ronald Sears, Zach Easley, Samuel Cox; Special nephew, Robert (Bobby) Maull, Jr.; special granddaughter-in-law, Kayla Williams, and a host of other nieces, nephews family and friends.
