Marshall Orr was born on February 1, 1940 in St. Clair County. He was the son of Ross Orr Jr., and the late Osie Croft Orr.
Marshall attended Gregory High in Collinsville, Alabama. He worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Company for 38 years.
Marshall was a member of Collins Chapel United
Methodist Church and he loved his church family. He was united in marriage to Julia Stewart Orr on May 5, 1962.
Marshall enjoyed camping, being outside, watching the western channel and wrestling. He also enjoyed watching Jesse Duplantis, Charles Stanley, and Mike Murdock.
His family will surely miss his fried fish with potatoes and onions.
Marshall was preceded into death by his father, Ross Orr Jr. ; mother, Osie Orr; daughter, Stella Rebecca Orr; siblings, Frances Turner, Annie Mae Jones, Surlee Orr, and William Orr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 60 years, Julia S. Orr; three sons, Marshall Orr Jr, Ross (Stacey) Orr of Collinsville, Alabama; Ken (Felicia) Moore of Rainsville, Alabama; four daughters, Sonya (Carlos) Stanton of Gadsden, Alabama, Julia E Orr of Collinsville, Alabama, Consuello (John) Williams of Gadsden, Alabama, and Peggy (Alto) Moore of Georgia. His favorite auntie, Ora Jones; one sister, Minnie Orr of Collinsville, Alabama; one brother, Leon Orr of Sarasota, Florida; a brother in law, Tommy Lee (Sunny) Jones of Fort Payne, Alabama. Marshall had twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. A special niece, Mary Orr and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
