Minister Marshall Richey was born June 21, 1938 in Collinsville, AL. Son of the late Marsh and Leora Hill Richey in DeKalb County, Alabama.
Marshall finished school at Gregory High in Collinsville, Alabama.
Marshall joined Collins Chapel United Methodist Church and was a faithful member until his health started failing. Minister Richey believed in prayer and would go to church by himself just to talk to the Lord and pray. He enjoyed going to Mount Lebanon to hear Reverend Ralph Jelks Jr. preach.

Marshall was preceded in death by his daughter, Mona Richey; parents, Marsh and Leora Richey, two brothers, Rooney and Henry Richey.
He enjoyed football and basketball games on television. He loves children and would play with them.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 62 years, Mary Richey; three sons, Donald, Timothy, and Neil Richey all of Collinsville, Al.; chosen grandchildren, Jasmine Washington and Rickey Robinson; one Brother, Claude Richey; two sisters, Agnes Richey, and Rachel Spade; one brother-in-law, Bennie Bynum; one sister-in-law, Gloria Underwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
