It is with deep sympathy we announce the passing of Mary J. Bynum of Ft. Payne, AL, who transitioned on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the age of 86. We ask that you keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Mary Elizabeth Fielder Bynum “Jane” was born April 29, 1936, to the late Grady and Ora Fielder, Etowah County.
At an early age, she was a member of the First Baptist Church, Douglas Community. Where she was also a member of the Senior choir.
She was united in holy matrimony to George Bynum, Jr. Jane was a member of Rose Beauty Chapter #541 of the Eastern Star of Fort Payne, Al.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Bynum, Jr.; parents, Grady and Ora Fielder, and Nellie Fielder; sister, Marie Covington; brothers, Donnie Fielders, Willie C. Fielder, and Harold Fielder.
Her memories will forever be cherished by her daughter, Lisa Hawkins; grandson, Ivan Hawkins Jr.; brother, Joe Henry Fielder; sister-in-law, Betty Bynum, and Dorothy Fielder and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
