Maybell Williamson was born on October 30, 1947 to the parents of John Appleby and Alma Denny, in Lineville, AL.

She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Williamson, Sr; son, Robert Williamson, Jr.; daughter, Marsha Hill; father, John Willie Appleby; mother, Alma Jean Appleby; brother, Johnny Appleby; sisters, Sue Appleby, and Gurtha Oliver; maternal and paternal grandparents.
