It is with heartfelt sympathy we announce the transition of Mr. Michael Lynn Clifton Cedar Bluff, Alabama, at the age of 73. We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.
Michael Lynn Clifton was born on March 15, 1952 to the late Elmer and Ollie Green Clifton.
He accepted Christ at an early age at Bogan Chapel United Methodist Church serving as a Layman there for many years until his health started to decline. Mike also kept up the maintenance of the cemetery for many years until his health began to fail him.
Michael graduated from Cedar Bluff High School in 1970. He was a pipe fitter for many years before going to General Electric, Mike was also a member of the Masons.
Michael enjoyed watching football, college (Alabama) and the NFL (Atlanta Falcons). He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He entered into holy matrimony to Shirlette Dupree Clifton.
Michael peacefully went to be with Lord on Thursday February 5, 2026 at his home surrounded by family.
He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Shirlette; children, Alison(Rod) Watts of Dayton, Ohio, Cassandra Nevins of Dayton, Ohio, Collin (Ebony) Clifton of New Orleans, Louisiana, Elijah (Christine) Clifton of Villa Rica, Georgia and Brandon Dupree of Leesburg, Alabama; grandchildren, Britany Smith, Robert Ballard, Diamond Dorsey, Sierra Nevins, Caliyah Clifton, Caine Watson, Kylie, Brylie, and Britton Dupree; sisters, Carol Dixon, Rome, Georgia, Eula Higgins, Gadsden, Alabama; brother, Steven Clifton, Queen Creek, Arizona; sister-in-law, Evelyn (Browning) Clifton, Decatur, Georgia; brother- in-laws, Keith (Angielina) Dupree and Chris (Jessica) Hood of Leesburg, Alabama; special friends, Larry Dozier, Wayne Penson, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friend, and The Bogan Chapel Church Family.
