With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Mickey F. Granger of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the age of 59.
Mickey F. Granger was born on January 31, 1966, in Cherokee County, AL, to Bessie L. Dupree and Charles Granger.
He graduated from Gaston High School in 1984, where he played football and baseball.
After high school, Mickey explored the world, traveling from coast to coast. Mickey was a “jack of all trades.” He worked as a skilled welder and carpenter and loved remodeling homes. Mickey was employed by WMB Fabrication, located in Gadsden, AL.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Cathy Granger; his sister, Stephanie Granger; his grandparents, Christine Dupree Ammons, Howard and Classie Granger.
Mickey F. Granger departed this life peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Riverview Medical Center in Gadsden, AL, at the age 59.
Mickey is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Sharon Granger; son, Braylen (Erin) Granger of Gadsden, AL; daughter, Sileah Granger of Montgomery, AL, Michelle (Kimani) Cotton of Gadsden, AL, Steve (Susan) Smith of Gadsden, AL; seven grandchildren, including the newest, Keegan Granger, and a host of other relatives and friends.
