Noah Washington Dobbins, Jr.

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Noah W. Dobbins of Centre, who traded time for eternity on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the age of 79.  We ask that you keep his family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time. 

Noah Washington Dobbins, Jr. was born on July 22, 1944, to the late Noah Dobbins, Sr., and Mamie Cohen Dobbins.

He received Christ at an early age under the leadership of his father, Rev. Noah Dobbins, Sr. Noah was a great man of faith. He was a faithful member of his church, St. Mary's UMC until his decline in health.

Noah joined the Air Force in 1966 and was Honorably discharged due to the untimely death of his father. He assisted his mother with the care of his younger siblings. He loved working on computers and sports.

He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber and was the proud owner of Christian Computers. He had a degree in Computer repair.

Noah is preceded in death (5 weeks, and 5 days) by his wife of 56 years, Clemmie Sue Erkins Dobbins; two sisters, Sara Miller and Sadie Henderson.

He leaves to cherish his memory three beautiful daughters, Tameka Dobbins, Cassandra (Martin) Houston, and Carita (Robert) Wyatt;  grandchildren, Jordan Jakane, Jaden Wilson, Xavier (Tamara) Houston, Precious Morgan, and Simeon Houston; great-grandchildren, Brayden Browne, Addison Houston,  Xavier Houston Jr., and Journee Knox (deceased); brother, Rev. Charles (Brenda) Dobbins; sisters, Mary Kennon, Myria Sattiewhite, and Paulette Tennison; brothers-in-law, Floyd (Bobbie) Erkins, and Lonnie Henderson; special niece, Pamela (Deleon) Barth, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends that held a special bond throughout the years.
