Ollice 'Ollie" Winfrey, Jr.

With heartfelt sympathy we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Ollice "Ollie" Winfrey of Gadsden, formerly of Chicago, IL, who traded time for eternity on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the age of 78.

Ollice Winfrey was born on January 20, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Ollice Winfrey, Sr. and Ora Lee Roberts Winfrey. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended school in the Chicago School System.

"Ollie" worked in many industrial plants throughout his years. He had a passion for antique cars, weight lifting at the YMCA and karaoke music. He was a people person and didn't meet a stranger.

Ollice departed this life on Friday March 4, 2022 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ollice and Ora Winfrey, Sr.; daughter, Deborah Jones; sisters, Delores, Rose, Willa, Diane and brother, Edward. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Bonnie Winfrey; two loving sisters, Vera Bell and Carol Faye Scales; brothers, Rudolph ( Geraldine) Winfrey and Carl Winfrey;  his extended family and his special friends, David Bright, Gary Rivers, Rickey Johnson, Dennis Nunnaly,Jackie Alred, Willie Hurt and Perry Cobb; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
