Patricia Sandlin, affectionately known as “Pat”, was born in Ashland , Alabama, on November 27, 1967, to the late Lorine Sandlin and Stanley Ford. She was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend.
Pat was a radiant woman who left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in Ashland, Alabama, where she was a member of the choir for many years. Throughout her life, Pat embodied the grace and strength of a Proverbs 31 woman. She lived with empathy, kindness, and integrity, touching the lives of her family, friends, and community with steadfast love, support, and guidance. Pat found joy in traveling and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Pat’s educational journey began in Ashland, Alabama. A dedicated student and academic achiever, she graduated with pride from Clay County High School, where she excelled as an honor student, participated in numerous clubs and organizations, and served as a spirited cheerleader. Her commitment to learning earned her an academic scholarship to Talladega College, where she continued to further her education and pursue her aspirations. Pat earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and later a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University. Her pursuit of education was not only a reflection of her determination but also of her faith, as she used her gifts of knowledge and wisdom to serve others and glorify God’s purpose for her life.
Pat’s greatest joy came in 1992 with the birth of her daughter, Chelsy. Chelsy quickly became the center of her world, and Pat’s love and pride for her were evident to everyone who knew them. She often spoke of their special bond, cherishing every moment they shared together.
