Ralph Marrie

It is with deep sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Ralph Marrie, of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Sunday, November 11, 2023, at the age of 61.  We ask that you keep his family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time.

Ralph Marrie was born on September 30, 1962, to the union of Lonnie Marrie and Mary Marrie in Attalla, Al.

Ralph Marrie attended Attalla Elementary, Etowah Middle, and on to attend Etowah High School.

He enjoyed his time at family gatherings, riding his motorcycle, driving antique cars, and playing cards. Along with cooking which was another one of his strong talents that he picked up as a young boy from his mother. 

Ralph spent over 15 years working as a dedicated employee of Tyson Foods/Koch Foods and Gadsden Regional Medical Center both of Gadsden, AL. After years of hard work, he was forced to come out of the workforce due to illness.

Ralph Marrie departed this life on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Riverview Medical Center. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Marrie, and mother Mary Marrie; brothers, Willie J. Potter, David Williams, Roosevelt Potter, and Harold Marrie; sisters, Mary Ann Ragland and Fredia Marrie.

He leaves to cherish his memories sisters, Rosie Lee Crook, Josephine Harden, Lonnie Johnson (William Waites), and brother, Johnny (Joyce ) Marrie of Kempner, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews.
