With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Rebecca Taylor of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the age of 77. Please keep the Taylor family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
Rebecca Taylor was born in Juarez, Mexico, on September 4, 1948, to Jose and Nieves Carrasco.
Becky lived life to the fullest, never without a Pepsi in hand and always ready for a game of cards or a night of bingo. Outspoken and witty, she was known for her honesty and humor—often described as having “the mouth of a sailor.” But behind her bold words was a heart of pure generosity. She poured love into everyone she met and had a gift for making people feel like family. Many considered her a second mom or grandma.
A true social butterfly, Becky cherished spending quality time with those she loved most. Her presence lit up every room, and her kindness and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Becky believed family was chosen as much as it was given, and her circle of love reached far and wide.
She was preceded in death by Rosa Maria Carrasco, Guadalupe Duran, Maria Dolores Shepherd, Philip Percell and Corey Berry.
Rebecca “Becky” Taylor, 77, passed away on September 5, 2025.
She is survived by her children, Joe Jr., Dorothy, Anita, and Regina; her grandchildren, Keisha, Dominique, and Alexis; her great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Elijah, Messiah, Julius Jr., Kingston, and Jazlyn. She also leaves behind her siblings, Maria Josefina, Elena, Luisa, Margarita, Jose, and Rebecca; host of nieces and nephews, as well as a large extended family of friends, former partners, and countless others whom she lovingly welcomed into her home and heart.
