Reuben H. Thompson, Sr.

It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Reuben H. Thompson, Sr. of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the age of 71.  We ask that you please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Mr. Reuben Howard Thompson, Sr. was born on November 29, 1949, to Sam L. Morris and Sarah Anita Thompson in Rome, Georgia.
Reuben was a 1st Sgt. in the U.S. Army for 22 years.  After retiring Reuben later worked at Ft. McClellan and Gadsden Job Corps Center as a Recreational Specialist ensuring the kids were well entertained and had something to do.
Reuben leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Doná D. Thompson; children, Reuben Demetrius Thompson, Amanda K. Thompson, and Reuben Howard Thompson, Jr.; four grandchildren, Jailan Malik Thompson, Doná Adaline Thompson, Jaidin Reuben Thompson, Kindon D. Thompson, and other relatives and best friends; James Harrison, Calip Hatcher, Jr, Carl (Donnie) Lewis, Chris Butler and Charlie Bunch.
