With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Rickey Williams of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 64. We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
On March 31, 1960, Ricky Dean Williams was born to the late Mattie Mae Williams Adams, in Gadsden, Alabama.
At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Union Baptist Church in Gadsden, Alabama.
Rickey worked at McEntyre Lumber Company as a supervisor. His hobbies included playing the harmonica, music, basketball, Alabama fan, and of course, making others laugh.
Rickey was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Mae Williams Adams; father, Horace Harris; step-father, Warren Adams; grandmother, Emma Williams; siblings, Charles Adams, Warren D. Adams, Jr., Sandra Adams, Helen Toles, and Daniel Adams.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Michelle Keith; special granddaughter, Kaliyan Haley; siblings, Ira (Sherry) Williams, II, Huntsville, AL, Angela (Jerry) Pearson, Carnell Williams, Emma Sue Williams, Earnestine (Darryl) Carlisle, all of Gadsden, AL, Pamela Williams, Milwaukee, WI, Levell (Lulu) Williams, Birmingham, AL; special brother-in-law, Ira Toles; special friend, Tara Byers, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
