Rita Patterson

It is with deep sympathy, we announce the passing of Rita Patterson formerly of Oneonta, AL, who transitioned on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the age of 60.  We ask that you keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  

Rita Patterson was born June 25, 1963, in Oneonta, Alabama to the union of Eddie and Belva Hill.

Rita was educated in the San Jose, California school system.

Rita accepted Christ at an early age in San Jose, California at the 8th Street Church of Christ.

Rita united in holy matrimony to Avon Patterson in Reno, Nevada on August 3, 1987.

Rita departed this earthly life on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Avon Patterson; mother, Belva Hill; and father, Eddie Hill.

Those left behind to cherish her precious memories include her three sons, Marquies Polk, DaVone Patterson, and Adrian Patterson; grandchildren, Tyler Hancock, Jahlya Polk, Avianna Polk,  Jaden Henry, Marquis Polk, Brayden Polk, Meniela Patterson, Denyella Patterson, Marquies Patterson, Faith Patterson, Kameron Patterson, and Ellie Patterson; siblings, Gail (Mike) Richardson and Ricky Hill; aunts and uncles, Juanita Polk, Nina Thompson, and Donna Henry, and a host of other relatives and friends.
