Robert Gene (Bob) Street, Sr.

Robert (Bob) Street, Sr. earthly journey began March 5,1939 to the parents of Marion Street and Lela Bell (Pruett) Street. Bob was born in Ashland, Al.  At an early age he accepted Christ and united with Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Ashland, Al. He was a faithful member, he served as President of the United Methodist Men, Sunday school teacher, and Church Steward.
 On many occasions he was invited to speak or provide encouraging words.
 
Mr. Street received his formal education from Laurel High School in Alexander City Al. He graduated in 1959 as Salutatorian of his class. After graduation, Mr. Street began his working career for Tyson Foods. Ashland, Al.  He was employed as a supervisor for 45 years.

On his journey, Mr. Street united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Nancy Jane Clark on July 10, 1958. His hobbies were fishing, football and working in the yard.  His favorite TV show was Walker Texas Ranger.  His favorite shoes were Stacy Adams.

Mr. Street departed his walk of life on May 4, 2023, at Clay County Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Lela Bell Street. his siblings; Duke, Erma, Amos, T, Evelina (Lady) and Mary Jean Street; his children; Robert Street Jr. and Anthony Street; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His love will forever be cherished by his amazing and loving wife of 65 years, Nancy Street; his loving sister, Annie Ruth McClain of Anniston, Al; daughter, Anita Kelly of Columbus, Ga; granddaughter, Shannae (Leon) Parham; grandsons, Eric Kelly, Aaron Kelly both of Orlando, Fl; Joshua Simmons, Jeremy Simmons, Ashland, Al; daughter-in-law, Tabitha Street, Ashland Al; great-grands, Eric Kelly Jr., Genesis Kelly, Mckenzie Kelly, Orlando Fl; Arianna Simmons, Reece Simmons, Ashland Al; and a host of nieces and nephews.
