Robert Charles Woods

With heartfelt sympathy we announce the passing of Mr. Robert Charles Woods of Centre who traded time for eternity on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the age of 69.

Robert Charles Woods was born  June 9, 1952 in Centre, Cherokee County, Alabama to the union of the late Ed and Mary Bessie Dupree Woods. He confessed Christ at the age of 16 under the leadership of Rev. Robert Carson, Sr., at Shiloh Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member. Deacon J. W. Lewis took him under his wings and studied the scriptures with him.He gained a lot of spirtual knowledge from his mentor.

Robert later joined the United States Army in 1982, where he fought for his country and recieved an honarable discharge for a service well done. He was preceded in death his brother, James Woods.

Those left to cherish his memories a loving wife, Ceclia Woods; sons; Brandon Woods, Michael Woods; grandkids, Jackie Keyshawn Woods, Daja Aaliyah Woods, Jayven Michael Johnson, Harmony Walker Woods, Jeriah
Cantrell Woods; siblings, Mary Gholston, Billy Woods; special friends, Danny Washington and Ronny Hale; a host of other relatives and friends.
