Roy Walter Daugherty, III

With heartfelt sympathy we announce the earthly transition of Roy Walter Daugherty, III, formerly of Gadsden, who traded time for eternity on Wednesday July 12, 2023 at the age of 25.

Roy was born September 15, 1997 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama to Maranda Darlene Murphy Daugherty and Jermaine Crayton Reeves.

Roy loved riding dirt bikes and skateboarding. 

 He was a loving grandson, son and big brother.  

Roy is survived by his mother, Maranda Brown; father, Jermaine Reeves; brother, Dalton Brown; sisters, Nicole Brown and Makayla Brown; grandparents, Cheri Thomas (paternal grandmother), Victor Reeves (paternal grandfather) and Virginia Bibby (maternal grandmother); great-grandmother, Katherine Reeves; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Roy is preceded in death by his late great-grandmothers, Frances Bibby and Mary Alice Crayton Thomas; great-grandfathers, J. Sherman Bibby, Edward Thomas and William L. Reeves.
