Russell David Redish

It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Russell David Redish of Attalla, who traded time for eternity on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the age of 66.

David was born June 11, 1958 to Rita Redish and Arion Sims. 

David educated in the Attalla City School System and was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School class of 1977. He loved music and had a special talent for playing the guitar. He enjoyed spending his Saturdays watching football. He faithfully provided for and tended to the needs of his late wife, Vickie and his mother, Rita. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

David is preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Redish; mother, Rita Murphy; father, Arion Sims; stepfather, Talmon Murphy Sr.; grandparents, Asa and Lessie Redish; and sister, Kala Toney.

He is survived by his 4 children, Lindsey (Joseph) Redish Pounds, David Redish Jr., Jennifer Gravitt, and Jana (Casey) Green; two stepdaughters, Crystal Payne, and Kayla Scott; siblings, Anthony (Shelly) Camper, Karen (Mike) Christy, Emily Angie Walden, Talmon (Liz) Murphy Jr., and Jessica (Scott) Martin; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
