Samuel Powell (Paul) Welch

Samuel Powell (Paul) Welch was born June 13, 1955, in Clay County, Alabama to Stacey Hardy Welch and 
T. H. Welch.

Paul was a 1973 graduate of Lineville High School.  He married Edna Griffin on November 19, 1982.

He was employed as a machine operator at Honda Manufacturing in Tallapoosa, Georgia.

Paul departed this life Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Lineville Nursing Facility.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stacey and T. H. Welch; sons, Samuel and Arnold Welch; sister, Alice Lewis; and brothers, Charles and H. T. Welch.

Paul leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Edna Griffin Welch of Ashland; three sisters, Annie Welch Johnson of Atlanta, Maybelle Welch of Lineville, and Laura Welch of Mississippi; and two brothers, Wyatt (Barbara)Welch of Tampa, Florida, and Roy Welch of Ashland and brother-in-law, Spencer and Linda Williams of Jacksonville, FL and sister-in-law Mary Ann Parker of Lineville.
