Shanda Wyatt Obituary

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Shanda Denise Wyatt of Huntsville, formerly of Gadsden,  who traded time for eternity on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the age of 55.

Shanda Denise Wyatt was born on January 10, 1971 in Chicago, IL to the union of Stanley Wyatt, Sr. and Gloria Jean Jones Wyatt. 

As a young child Shanda moved to Alabama with her grandparents where she was raised and later graduated from Gadsden High School. She later attended Drake Technical School. 

At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and faithfully attended Union Baptist Church where her spiritual foundation was nurtured.

She loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church and serving as Sunday School Teacher at New Life.

Family time was an essential part of her life. Living and love them accompanied with family outings and the daily adventures were highlights to her life. They also say "the way to someone's heart is by their stomach" and she truly had the hearts of her loved ones, especially with her spaghetti. 

Shanda's love, strength, and beautiful soul spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. her legacy of faith and family will continue to shine through the lives she touched.

Shanda traded mortal for immortality on Thursday, February 19, 2026 after an extended illness. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Wyatt Sr.; grandparents, Willie C. and Etta Bell Wyatt and Willie B. and Hattie B. Jones; uncles, Charles, Ben, Larry, Willie, and Kevin; her beloved aunts, Connie, Toywonia, Valerie, and her favorite aunt Wanda; favorite cousin, Toni. 

Shanda was a devoted Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend. She leaves to cherish all her joy, laughter, love and precious memories by her three children her loving son, Dervin Wyatt; her two devoted daughters, Billisa (Broderick) Hardy and Cierra Wyatt (Quinton); her mother, Gloria Wyatt; her twin brother, Lashan and brother, Stanley Wyatt, Jr.; she also leaves behind her cherished grandsons, Master Parker and Master Jamil; her nephews, Tyrone, Jamichael, Abriez, Lashan, Jr., and Dominic; her aunts, Diane and Veronica; uncles, Greg and Mark; special cousin, Charlsta, and a host of relative and friends. Shanda's love, strength, and beautiful soul spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. her legacy of faith and family will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
