Sharod Matrell Henderson

It is with deep sympathy we announce the passing of Sharod Matrell Henderson of PellCity, AL, who transitioned on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the age of 24.  We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that funds be donated toward final funeral expenses.

Sharod Matrell was born to the union of Roderick Henderson and Neffeteria Whitfield Henderson on August 27, 1998, in Birmingham, Alabama. 
He was educated in the Pell City School System. His hobbies included play­ing basketball, listening to music, playing video games, and playing with his dog, Barna. 
On October 22, 2022, Sharod passed away unexpectedly. 
He is preceded in death by his brother, Courtney Whitfield, and a host of uncles and aunts. 
He leaves behind his parents, Neferteria and Roderick Henderson; one sister, Nikiya Henderson; grandmother, Christine Henderson, all of Riverside, Alabama; he is also survived by several aunts and cousins.
