Teresa "Tee" Smith

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Teresa "Tee" Smith of Anniston, formerly of Ashland, who traded time for eternity on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the age of 44. 

Funeral services for Teresa "Tee" Smith, age 44, of Anniston, formerly of Ashland will be Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clay Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service in Ashland with Bro. Lee Heath  and Rev. Jon Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Clay County Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Smith passed away at Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham Friday, February 13, 2026.

Mrs. Smith was a Clay County native. She graduated from Clay County High School in 2000. She had been a dedicated employee at McDonald's in Talladega for 21 years. She lit up the room and wanted to make others smile. She was loyal to all her friends and family. She had been married to the love of her life Alisha (Lei-Lei) Smith for 21 years. Her fur babies; Chanel, Amari, Gracie May, Koko, and Tinker Bell, and her 8-legged friend, Charlotte, were a big impact on her life and like her children. She loved softball and was a big Auburn fan in spite of her mom being a big Alabama fan. She loved to watch the old school horror movies.  

She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Pete and Ann Osborn; paternal grandfather, Jr. Smith.

She is survived by her devoted wife, Alisha "Lei-Lei" Smith; loving mother, Laura Smith and father, Phillip (Elaine) Smith; paternal grandmother, Tiny Ruth Hallman; sisters, Christie (Anthony) Watts, Stephanie Smith, and Anna Hickman; stepbrothers, Jeremy (Michelle) Hayes, and David Hayes; great aunt, Faye Bassett; aunt, Nancy (Philip) Moore; cousins, "big sister" Nicole (Jeremy) Moore and "big brother" Randy (Adrienne) Moore; mother-in-law, Kris (Tom) Strickland; uncles, Wayne (Judy) Smith and Wendall (Nadine) Smith; aunts, Shiela (Bill) Headrick, Darlene (Richard) Winslett and Tammy (Andrew) Salinas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, god children and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Randy Moore, Blaise Crabtree, Monica Kemp, Makayla Ellis, LaCorey Curry, and B.J. Hale.

Honorary pallbearers will be the CCHS Class of 2000.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
