Thomas ("Tang") Shropshire

With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Thomas Shropshire of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the age of 64. We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. 

Mr. Thomas Lee Shropshire “Tang” was born on November 30, 1959, in Gadsden, AL to the union of the late James Lewis Shropshire and Katie Bell McLemore Shropshire.

Tang was known for riding his motorcycle, fishing, and washing his cars.

Tang gained his wings on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Katie Bell Shropshire.

Tang leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved wife, Glenda Lynn Shropshire of 24 years; his loving children, Antonio (Nicole) Shropshire, Thomasa (Shan) Shropshire, Torronce (Heather) Shropshire, Galan Hoyt, Candace Shropshire, Nyasia George; two step-children, Larry Green, and Jennifer Green; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Teresa) Shropshire, James Shropshire; brother and sister-law, Brenda Leeks, Velma (Joe) Smith, Joe (Lisa) Green, Janice (Charlie) Green, Edith (Gerald) Taylor, and Danny (Donna K) Green; one aunt, Louise Love; special friends, Phelan Daniel, and Terrance McCain, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
