It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mrs. Victoria Collins Tripp, of Pinson, AL., who transitioned on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the age of 61. We ask that you please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Services to be announced.
Victoria Leatrice Collins Tripp, affectionately known as "Vicky", daughter of Mr. Coleman and Alfretta Collins was born August 17, 1960 in Gadsden, AL.
She was a graduate of Emma Samson High School as Valedictorian of the class of 1978, attended Gadsden State Junior College and graduated with many honors.
At age 1O Victoria paid rapt attention as a Bible study was being conducted with her mother and decided that she wanted her own personal Bible study. A loving sister, one of Jehovah's Witnesses, began a serious study of the Bible with her which led to dedicating her life to Jehovah and was baptized September 24, 1972 at the age of 12. She served as a regular pioneer for many years in the Gadsden Area, was blessed with the unique gift of helping many people come to an accurate knowledge of the truth and was a faithful servant until death.
Victoria relocated to Birmingham, AL where she was employed at UAB until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie; father, Mr. Coleman Collins; sister, Marquita Collins, and father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Tripp,Sr.
She was united in marriage to Willie Delane Tripp, Jr. and to this union
two precious children were born, Courtney and Daphaney.
Victoria leaves to cherish her memories, loving daughters, Courtney Victoria and Daphaney Arlinda Tripp, Birmingham; step-son, Cameron Tripp; step-daughter, Chaven Spruel, Birmingham; mother, Mrs. Alfretta Collins; brother and sister-in-law Calvin and Marilyn Collins, Gadsden; uncles and aunts, Jason and Carol Tucker, Chicago, IL, Jessie and Lucy Ann Hoyt, Boston, MA, Samuel and Bertha Collins, Theodore Collins, A.C. Collins, Jr. and Ray Nell Collins, all of Gadsden; nieces and nephews, Joshua Trammell, Allen Trammell, Calyn Collins, R. C. Collins, all of Gadsden, AL; great-nephew, Maurice Hayden Trammell, Gadsden, AL, and many other relatives and dear friends including a world-wide host of Christian brothers and sisters.
