Walter S. Davis

It is with heartfelt sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. Walter S. Davis of Gadsden, AL, who transitioned on Monday, November 29, 2021, at the age of 67. We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Services are pending.

Mr. Walter Senior Davis was born March 2, 1954, in Gadsden, AL to the late Clarence Smith and Velma Marie Davis-Harris.

At an early age, he confessed faith in Christ and joined Damascus Baptist Church under the late Reverend L.A. Warren.

His formal education was received in the schools of Gadsden Public Schools. 

Throughout his life, he loved to barbecue and shoot the breeze with the fellas while playing spades.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Smith and Velma Marie Davis-Harris; sisters, Margaret Davis-Love and Sherlon Marie Davis-Thomas.
     
He leaves to cherish his memories his sisters, Effie Willams, Albeterville, Alabama, Janet (Johnny) Turner, Gadsden, Alabama; special niece, Jaquanna Turner;  host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
