With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the earthly transition of Willie Mae Phillips Heflin of Lineville, who traded time for eternity on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the age of 56.
Ms. Willie Mae began her journey through life on September 17, 1968. She was born in Ashland, AL to the union of Willie Joe Phillips and Josephine Tatum.
Willie Mae dedicated her life at an early age to New Hope Baptist Church in Barfield, and then later in life she became a member of The Rock Jesus Church of Lineville, AL.
Willie was a graduate of Lineville High School doing so while working at the Clay County Nursing Home to provide for her young daughter.
Later in life, she went to work at Robinson Sewing Company, doing what she loved until she became disabled. She loved being around her family, and friends. She loved to dance, sing laugh, and watch her cooking shows.
On Sunday, December 1, 2024, she answered the Master’s call at her home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Joe Phillips; her two siblings, Joanne Tatum and Frankey Joe Tatum.
She leaves to cherish her memories with her daughter, Kanesha Gooden (Curtis Gooden), Lineville, AL; three grandchildren, Kadarius Clark, Jaylon Woods, and Adriana Phillips, all of Lineville, AL; five great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Ellis, Kadarius Clark, Jr., Dynasty Mclemore, Kingston Clark, and Zavier Woods, all of Lineville, AL; her mother, Josephine Traylor, Lineville, AL; five siblings, George Tatum, Marie Tatum, Cedric Phillips (Tameka Phillips), Terlisa Phillips and Kayla Williams; a special friend, Sammie Caldwell, and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.
