On December 23, 1959 Ora Lee Taylor was born to  Addie Mae Taylor and William Thomas Montgomery, in Albertville AL.

     At the age of 3 she moved to Detroit Michigan with her mother and other siblings. In the Detroit school system is were she received her formal education, and later became employed there as a custodian. Throughout her life she worked many other jobs to provide for her family. In the 1970's she worked in a recording studio as a back ground singer and professional dancer for her sister.

     Ora was one who had many talents; cooking being the most outstanding one. Not only did she have a love and passion for cooking; she loved to feed people, which is a trademark she shared with her family.

   She was a loving and caring person, those who really knew her couldn't help but love her. Although she was a work in progress when she became angry, the love she had in her heart for God and people overpowered all of her weaknesses. 

     For a few years she became very ill, but despite her condition she endured it with faith, and continued to reach out to help others. 
    On Monday, November 11, 2019, Ora departed from this earthly life at Citizens Hospital, in Talladega, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; two siblings, Charles Franklin Taylor, Gwendolyn Jackson; and one aunt, Mama Aunty Emma D.
    She leaves to cherish her memories four siblings, William Montgomery Jr., Mammie Jackson, both of Detroit, MI, Ellen Jackson, Gadsden, AL, Carla Havis, Guntersville, AL; nine aunts, Rosa (Willie) Dates, Lottoe (William) Twymon, Flora Hutchinson, Hattie Brown Colley, Willie Bell Fuller, Sarah Fuller, Rita Taylor, Peggy Coleman, Judy Estelle, all of Talladega, AL; four uncles, Julius (Joyee) Taylor, John Taylor, Charlie (Adela) Taylor, all of California; nephews, Mason Drake Jr., Kenneth Drake, William (Tank) Montgomery; nieces, Tonya Jackson, Latonya Brown, Crystal Brown, Taylor Montgomery, all of Detroit, MI; close friends, Mary Moore, Perettia Belks, Vanessa Barnes, Neta, all of Detroit, MI; a host of other relatives and friends,

Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the St. Clair Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service with Pastor Isaac Richardson officiating.
