Corlan “Cortrez” Roscoe, Jr. was born January 4, 1994 in Gadsden, Alabama to Antwanita Roscoe and Corlan Roscoe, Sr.

Cortrez was introduced to Christ as an infant where he was christened under the leadership of Pastor Maurice Wright at United Christian Church.

Cortrez completed his education at Duval County, Florida Public School System where he graduated from Alden Road Exceptional Student Center with the class of 2012.

Despite Cortrez’s physical inabilities, he was blessed to enjoy all that life offered which included spending time with his family making memories at Disney Theme Parks, Six Flags and Sea World, just to name a few. “Trez”, as he was affectionately called by his family, touched many lives and he had a smile that lit up the room.

His LOVE FOR LIFE was infectious to all those who came in contact with him. To know him was to truly love him.

Trez departed this life peacefully, July 22, 2008, at home with his family. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Sheila Laskey & Paula Nichols.

Those left to cherish his memories are his father, Corlan Roscoe, Sr., Douglasville, GA; his mother, Antwanita Roscoe; three brothers, Caleb Roscoe, Crisjohn Roscoe, Chandler Roscoe; one niece, Cayla Roscoe, all of Homestead, FL; grandfather, John Nichols; grandmother, Barbara Craig; four aunts, one uncle and a host of relatives and dear friends.

At the end of each life is a legacy of love and memories. Hold tight to those memories…. Lean on each other for support. And look to God’s Word, the Bible, for comfort and strength. 1 Peter 5:7 encourages; “Throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.”
