Jerry Don Dupree was born April 26, 1946 in Centre, Alabama to John Lewis Dupree and Willie C. Woods of Leesburg, Alabama.

‘JD’ as he was affectionately known, attended school in Centre, Alabama and claimed he was a good football player and a fast runner. This was just one of the many stories he loved to tell his family.

‘JD’ worked for Crumpton, for a number of years. The company soon had a name change, Fruitloom Leesburg Yarn Mill. Later, after leaving his previous job, ‘JD’ retired from Northrop Grumman Shipyard of Pascagoula, Mississippi.

‘JD’ took pride in working and providing for his family. He was most proud working in the shipyard, building quality ships for the military-both of his sons served their country.

JD’s favorite team was the Green Bay Packers, so to all you football fans, watch out.

‘JD’ was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nancy and a sister that passed early in life; four brothers, John Harold, Billy (his twin brother), Joe Lewis and Melvin.

Jerry leaves those to cherish his memory, his wife of 25 years, Evelyn Murray Dupree, Pascagoula, MS; two sons, Clenta (Angela) Walker, Jeffrey Don (Jenera) Dupree, all of Georgia; one daughter, Monica Crawford ‘Babycakes’, of Georgia; seven grandchildren, Faith, Sydney, Ariyah, Alrie, Kevin ’KJ’, LeAsia, Clenta Jr. ‘CJ’ and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

*****JD would always say“PUT GOD FIRST and Cherish your family and friends”******

I'm sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. May Jehovah the God of all comfort bring you peace.(2 Corinthians 1:3,4) The Bible also tells us that Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
