Mrs. Lillie Louise Billingsley Jackson was born May 31, 1968, in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama, to the late Eddie and Virginia Billingsley.

 

Mrs. Lillie was nurtured in her younger years by her late great grandmother, Mrs. Ola Mae Freeman.

 

At an early age, Mrs. Lillie accepted Christ and was united with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Turkeytown, Alabama. She later united with the Ebenezer Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where she served faithfully. She was also very instrumental with the youth and served in various capacities in every way she could.

Mrs. Lillie received her formal education in the states of Illinois and Ohio. After moving back to Gadsden, she attended Gadsden High School.

On June 3, 1995, Lillie was united in holy matrimony to her best friend, Mr. Lavon Daniel Jackson, Sr.  To this union, two sons were born.

For several years Lillie was employed with the City of Gadsden - Dart Transportation as a driver where she never met a stranger.

Mrs. Lillie Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Mary) Freeman, Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler Billingsley; nephew, Antonio Billingsley; mother-n-law, Lucille Jackson-Payne; sister-in-law, Barbara Jean Jackson; brothers-in-law, Anthony Hill and Alphonso Craig.

On Friday, January 11, 2019, Mrs. Lillie departed this physical life to enter into her eternal life.

She leaves to cherish her many memories, her loving and devoted husband, Lavon Daniel Jackson, Sr.; two loving sons, Lavon Daniel (Faith) Jackson, Jr., Darrin (Christonia) Jackson; five grandchildren, Aniyah Jackson, Alivia Jackson, Charlee Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Marlee Jackson; two sisters, Lisa (Nokie) Billingsley, Mary (Adrian) Billingsley; two brothers, Robbie (Christy) Billingsley, Barry Billingsley; three aunts, Shirley (Farley) Granger, Emma (Charles) Moore, Johnnie Mae Taylor; three uncles, Bobby (Evelyn) Freeman, Walter (Monica) Freeman, Charley (Janice) Freeman; sisters- in- law, Rowena (Greg) Blount, Sharion (Norman) Cole, Teresa Mostiller, Jacquelin Watson; brothers-in-law, Nermiah Jackson, McKinley (Martha) Jackson, Johnny (Wendy) Watson; God-mother, Ms. Estella Hope; special friends, Sarah Roden, Monica Freeman, Tasha Martian, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to name.

Funeral services will be 2p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 ,  at Ebenezer Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Gadsden, Alabama. Pastor Albert Frazier, officiating. Internment will follow immediately, at Lincoln Hill Cemetery in Gadsden, Alabama. Visitation with the family will be 6p.m to 7p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2019 ,at Adams Buggs Chapel.

You all have our deepest sympathy Lillie was such a wonderful person we always had great conversations she always called my kids The Corn Flake children or cereal boys. We loved her and she will forever be missed. May God keep you all.

Wishing the entire Family Jehovah’s Peace and Loving Grace that will provide comfort in time, along with the courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart.” Lillie AKA Dadou will remain in our hearts forever. I will miss all her spiritual advise and will always be Grateful for her driving my Late Father “ Duck” and Late Aunt “Brenda “ all the way to Chicago for my Mother’s funeral in 2001.

I'm sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. May Jehovah the God of all comfort bring you peace.(2 Corinthians 1:3,4) The Bible also tells us that Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
