Fannie Lou Collins was born in Ohatchee, Calhoun County, Alabama on January 3, 1942 to the union of Bill and Beauty Collins. When her family moved to Gadsden, AL ,she attended Carver High School.

On September 26, 1959, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Keith Lavon Miller. Their union was blessed with two children, Jeffrey Lavon and Mark Anthony Miller.

Some time later she began a diligent study of the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses, after which she symbolized her dedication to the true God, Jehovah by water baptism in 1967. She thoroughly enjoyed sharing the good news of Jehovah’s kingdom to all who would listen.  She dearly loved her Christian associates; to name just a few, Annabell Anderson, Jean Avery, Betty Brooks, Myra Gantt, Shirley Provitt, Helen Thompson, Ellen Jackson. Later she adopted a new love in her life the Albertville-Gadsden Spanish congregation whose meetings she supported and attended along with her regular meetings at the North Gadsden Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. When she was unable to attend, she received her congregation meetings by means of the telephone hook up.

Fannie was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Mark Anthony; brother, Jessie Earl Collins; sisters-in-law, Pat Ann Miller, Earnestine (Ernest) Ragland, Ann Miller; brothers-in-law, Ray Calvin (Nettie) Miller, Roy Miller, Sr., Jimmy Miller, Ernest Miller, Jr.; aunts, Marie Whisenant, Jackie Stamps, and Rose Burnett.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jeffrey (Vanessa) Miller; grandchildren, Tracy Miller, Preston Miller; brothers Mr. and Mrs. David Linfield Collins, Willie Joe Collins; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Ernest) Williams, Edna Miller, Mary Frances (Leon) Harville; brothers-in-law, Fred Miller, Ernest Miller, Jr., special nieces, Chrissie Frank, Christine Collins, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

“With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them, and they will be his people. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.””
