Music by The Piano Brothers

Donald Wayne Bagley was born the youngest twin son to the union of Lonnie and Rebecca Shepard Bagley on April 6, 1962 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama.

Donald received his formal education in the Gadsden City School System, graduating Gadsden High School Class of 1980. While in high school, Donald began his long time career with Holy Name of Jesus Hospital, now Riverview Regional Medical Center, as a cook in the Dietary Department until his health began to decline.

Donald was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Edna Pollard. They shared twenty-six years of love and memories together. He and his wife both attended New Liberty Tabernacle of Praise Assembly of God under the leadership of Pastor Willie J. Simmons. Here they were able to grow in their love for Christ and their love for each other.

Donald not only cooked for a living, but he also loved to cook, bake and bar-be-que. No one could come close to his cake or bar-be-que sauce recipes. He was known for making each family member their own person favorite cake. He also loved growing flowers and keeping everything well decorated.

Donald’s short life here on the earth came to a halt on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 following a brief illness. He was preceded in earthly transition by his father, Lonnie, Bagley, Sr. and grandson, Cody Orr.

Those left to cherish his many memories include his wife, Edna Bagley, Gadsden, AL; his legacy: his daughters, Kirby and Erica Orr, grandchildren, Conner, Allonha and Jayce Orr, all of Huntsville, AL; his mother, Rebecca (Robert) Hope, Gadsden, AL; his siblings, Virginia Smith, Gadsden, AL, Ernie (Cynthia) Bagley, Marion, AL, Ralph Dewayne Bagley (twin), Lonnie Bagley, Jr., Both of Gadsden, AL; aunts, Dorothy Smith, Marion, AL, Judy Moore, Stone Mountain, GA; uncles, Johnny Young, David Young, Ralph Young, Timothy Young, Bruce (Carolyn) Young, Atlanta, GA, Mitchell Young, Marion, AL; brother-in-law, Jerome Cartwright, Stockbridge, GA; cousin like a brother, Randall (Debbie) Rushing; special cousin, Brenda Luker, Gadsden, AL; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
