Glenda Ann McCain McCloud was born July 17 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama to the union of the late Roosevelt and Catherine Barrington McCain, Sr. She confessed faith in Christ and was united with Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Willie G. Davis.

 

Glenda was educated in the Gadsden City School System and graduated from Carver High School. She received her post secondary education from Gadsden State Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Childhood Education. She utilized her skills in she obtained with mastering her career as a Early Child Development at Lots Early Childhood Education and Gadsden Head Start.

 

Glenda loved to shop, go out to eat at Top O’ River and travel to Birmingham outing and Florida Get-A-Ways. Her true joy, though, was taking care of kids and they didn’t have to belong to her.

Glenda traded time of eternity on Saturday, June 6, 2020. She leaves to mourn her passing but cherish her many memoires her husband, LaVon McCloud, Attalla, AL; children, LaShunda McCloud (Gabriel), LaVonte’ McCloud (Amber), CaLandra McCloud, all of Attalla, AL; grandchildren, Jacoria “Sassy” Carter, Attalla, AL, Shuntae McCloud, Sardis, AL, Jadah McCloud, Drayden McCloud, all of Attalla, AL; siblings, Mary Wise, Roosevelt McCain, Jr., Cathy (Michael) Goggins, all of Gadsden, AL; aunt, Ruby McCain, Gadsden, AL; god-daughter, Zacolia Thomas, Birmingham, AL; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Memorial Gathering will be 2:00p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Etowah Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service.
