On June 1, 1930, Willie Alvin McAdams was born to the late Mary Alice and Willie S. McAdams in Childersburg, Alabama.

Willie received his  formal education in the Childersburg City school system.  After 49 years of service at Vulcan Material Company of Alabama he retired.

Willie always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. he loved fishing, hunting, and traveling. Traveling to the casino was always a place that he was ready to enjoy. He was a very outspoken person with a witty personality.  He was loved and highly respected by his family and friends. To know him was to love him.

Willie departed this life on Monday, September 14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his son, Allen McAdams; mother, parents; step-mother, Johnnie Mae Keith; brothers, Ronald McAdams, Darryl McAdams, Leonard McAdams; sisters, Diane Crenshaw Connie Boyd; and son-in-law, Darrell Gilson.

Many loving and cherished memories of Willie will be remembered by his loving wife, Mable McAdams, Gadsden, AL; sons, Larry (Marian) McAdams, Donald (Katie) McAdams; daughter, Denise McAdams-Gilson; grandchildren, Cindy, Tabitha, Philip, Cynthia, Karen, Erica, Danielle; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Earl (Cathy) McAdams, Smithfield, VA, Dwight McAdams, Timothy (Susie) McAdams, Steve McAdams, all of Birmingham, AL; sisters, Carolyn Simpson, Columbus, Ohio, Betty Ellis, Patricia (Charlie) Williams, all of Birmingham, AL; special friends, Solomon Williams, Michael Cannon, Sam Byers, Marcus Hughley; a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Celebration of Life will be 12:00noon. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Etowah Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service with Pastor Ivan Cattling, Sr., Eulogist.  Immediate family only please.

At families request no home visits due to Covid 19.
