At the rising of the sun on November 11, 1954, Mr. Fredrick Lamar Brown was born in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama to the union of the late Cleveland Jones and Beverly Jean Brown 

Fredrick was educated in the Gadsden City School System. He relocated to Flint, Michigan, where he attended Flint Northern High School. Upon his return to Gadsden, Fredrick united with the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church under the auspices of Rev. Roderick B. Thomas. He served the church faithfully in whatever capacity he could. He was a part of the Multi Media Ministry where he served with pride and joy. He was always in the Welcome Center embracing everyone who entered the church with exuberance, love and compassion. 

Fredrick was departed this earthly life on Monday, October 2, 2020 at Riverview Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Cleveland Jones and Mrs. Beverly Brown Parker; his grandparents. 

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Keontay Prestwood, Fredrick Prestwood, both of Flint, MI, Kentay Prestwood, Birmingham, AL; daughters, Jalania Brown, Shaquita Brown, both of Gadsden, AL, Deondra Chew, Flint, MI; numerous grandchildren; sister, Lana Brown, Rainbow City, AL; three brothers, Ricardo Jones, Rainbow City AL, Llewllyn Jones and Edmond Jones, both of Flint, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and neighbors.  

Celebration of Life will be 11:00a.m Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the Etowah Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service with Rev. Rodrick B. Thomas, officiating. Interment will follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Viewing and Visitation will be 5:00-7:00p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 and the Etowah Chapel of Adams-Buggs Funeral Service.
